Some hardwood installation projects begin with removing
existing carpet, vinyl, tile or old flooring materials. When
removal is part of the hardwood project, Imperial Wood Floors can evaluate what needs to come out, what may be
reusable or salvageable, and what preparation may be
required before the new hardwood is installed.
Removal Is Planned as Part of the Flooring Scope
Existing flooring and subfloor conditions can affect labor,
timing and preparation. The removal scope should be
discussed during the estimate so homeowners understand
what is included before installation begins. Additional work discovered after removal should be reviewed before
proceeding.
