Many localized hardwood problems can be repaired. Imperial evaluates the existing wood, surrounding floor and desired result to determine the best repair and matching approach.

Imperial specializes in repair and matching work. Species, age, milling, stain and light exposure all influence the final blend, and the team evaluates those details as part of the project.

Imperial uses professional HEPA vacuum equipment and barriers to contain approximately 90% of sanding dust. No sanding process is completely dust free, so the team also completes a light cleanup before the job is finished.

Imperial primarily uses low-odor, low-VOC, GREENGUARD-certified water-based finishes, including Bona finishes and stains. The right product depends on the floor and project.

Control grit, wipe spills promptly and use floor-care products intended for the floor’s finish. Avoid vinegar-and-water mixtures and homemade cleaners. Imperial’s Care section includes practical cleaning and maintenance guidance.

Remove small and fragile items and plan to have furniture removed before the start date when possible. Imperial can discuss assistance with large items. Pets can remain in the home when appropriate, but the noise may make another location more comfortable. Imperial will provide project-specific instructions before work begins.
